Parvovirus Disease
What is Parvovirus ?
The canine Parvovirus infection is a highly contagious viral illness that affects dogs - mostly puppies between 6 weeks and 6 months old.
The virus is very present in TCI and comes in two different forms:
1) The more common form is the intestinal form, which is characterized by vomiting, diarrhea, weight loss and lack of appetite.

2) The less common form is the cardiac form, which attacks the heart muscles of very young puppies, often leading to death.

The incidence of canine parvovirus infections can be reduced radically by early vaccination in young puppies.
Parvo can kill a dog in less than 72 hours. It is very important to vaccinate your puppy early.
Vaccinate your puppy early at 6-7 weeks old to drastically reduce the incidence of infections.
