SAVEDOG
SAVEDOG Project, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit US dog rescue organization (Tax ID 46-5556274) dedicated to relocating homeless dogs to places where they'll be adopted. We tackle the challenge of saving adoptable, at-risk dogs from overcrowded US shelters by providing a crucial rescue component.
RESCUE RELOCATION. We have rescue-transported over 5,000 homeless dogs to date, including 10-20 adoptable potcakes annually from the Turks & Caicos. We were especially honored to be able to help the TCSPCA in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma in 2017, relocating 14 potcakes from Providenciales to the USA where they were adopted.
PAMPERED PAWS
Donna Doran and her team at Pampered Paws have partnered with the TCSPCA for over 12 years, providing a safe haven for rescued animals, and professional care and rehabilitation for those which are injured.
The only Grooming/Boarding/Training facility in the TCI, Pampered Paws makes a huge difference to the welfare and health of hundreds of dogs and cats (and goats and birds!) in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
The TCSPCA deeply appreciates that Donna and the Pampered Paws team who treat each rescued animal as if it were their own. Without the support of Pampered Paws, the TCSPCA could not respond to the hundreds of calls for help they receive each year.

NEW BEGINNINGS
The TCSPCA was introduced to Barbara Keegan, founder of New Beginnings animal rescue in New Jersey, through property owners on Providenciales. Since this partnership was formed over 10 years ago many TCSPCA rescue puppies have been accepted into their foster/adoption program. They ensure that each puppy is spayed or neutered before the adoption takes place. New Beginnings provides a safe haven for rescue animals, and the volunteers work tirelessly to find permanent loving homes for each animal.
ANIMAL HAVEN
After Hurricane Irma ripped through the Turks and Caicos Islands in September 2017 we received a call from Animal Haven, NYC, asking if we needed help. The answer was a resounding "YES!". In the aftermath of the storm we were left with 20 rescue cats and kittens in foster care, and no waiting list of people wanting adopt them. Animal Haven kindly stepped in and accepted all 20 felines into their foster/adoption program! Since then our relationship with Animal Haven has flourished and they have accepted many more TCSPCA rescue cats, kittens and puppies into their program.
NORTH SHORE ANIMAL LEAGUE
The North Shore Animal League (NSAL) based in Port Washington, NY, is the WORLD’S largest NO-KILL animal rescue and adoption organization. Ten years ago, a member visited Providenciales and fell in love with our Potcakes. The resulting partnership with this wonderful group has enabled hundreds of Potcake puppies to be adopted in the USA. Since so many homes in the TCI already have their legal quota of pets, this rescue partnership with NSAL has saved the lives of countless animals. The NSAL also provides extended medical care to severely injured older potcakes, through their ‘Help Me Heal’ program. Several TCI Potcakes have benefited from this wonderful program.
OPERATION PAWS FOR HOMES
At the 2013 Conch Festival in Blue Hills, an informal introduction to the founder of this wonderful organization, Jen Dodge, resulted in a lasting partnership and the adoption of more than 40 older Potcakes in the USA. OPH is based out of Washington, DC. They rely on a huge network of foster homes which provide love, and care to each dog before it is adopted. Without OPH, our older Potcakes would almost certainly face euthanasia.
HUMANE SOCIETY OF DURHAM REGION
HSDR is our Canadian Animal Welfare partner. The Humane Society of Durham Region have placed so many TCSPCA rescue potcakes and Catcakes into good loving homes. They are a non profit organization, and a no kill shelter who help to provide compassionate care for our potcakes while they await their new beginnings in life.
IBC AIRWAYS
IBC Air provides convenient affordable Public Charter service to a number of Caribbean Destinations including the Turks and Caicos. The airline is 'pet friendly' and many residents safely transport their precious pooches into the islands on IBC flights. the IBC pilots are animal lovers who make sure that each and every pet travels safely.
The founder of Potcake Project, John Thomas, approached IBC's Director of Marketing to ask if they would offer free transportation for rescued potcakes from the TCI to Miami. They agreed. This generous support has helped the TCSPCA to save the lives of these older dogs that could not find homes on island. The TCSPCA is forever grateful to IBC for the care and attention that they provide to this precious cargo. They treat every dog as if it were their own.
