To all our Dog Show Sponsors, supporters, and volunteers
The Board of the TCSPCA has decided that, as a responsible animal welfare group, our Third Annual Dog Show scheduled for the end of June will have to be postponed.
As many of you know we have Canine Distemper on the island. This disease has claimed the lives of many dogs and puppies and the TCSPCA is doing its best to vaccinate as many animals as we can. This is a huge undertaking for us and has and will continue to consume the time of most of our volunteers who would normally be working to organize the show.
Most importantly, until we have a better handle on how widespread this disease is, we feel that we cannot risk spreading the virus by bringing so many dogs together for the dog show.
We would especially like to thank Michael Frolick and Guille for all their hard work in preparing the program and soliciting sponsorship for the event. And to the sponsors who have already generously contributed to the show, we assure you that the donations received thus far will be put towards continuing our efforts to stem this virus.
We are anticipating that the show, which is really all about the children, will be held in September when school starts again. When we have confirmed the date we will let you know.
Thank you all for your support.
